AFG Meeting: Hemaraj Technical College Presentation

This Tuesday more than 40 members and associates participated at the AFG Meeting held at the Conference Center at ESIE Plaza I, Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate.

The presentation focussed on the status and future of education of Thai workers – and a significant gap between the industry requirements and the available human resource.

As a response, Hemaraj plans to set up a Technical College based partly on the German apprentice system to offer technical education to Thai workers.

Japanese car assemblers in Thailand meet to discuss production

Production might half due to Japanese chip import problems...  Japanese car assemblers in Thailand will meet here next week to discuss car automobile industry production which is being heavily impacted from the massive tsunami which hit Japan just over a month ago, a senior industry player said Thursday. Vallop Tiasiri, president of the Thailand Automotive Institute, said Japanese car assemblers will meet on April 22 at the industry ministry following an invitation from Permanent Secretary for Industry Vitoon Simachokdee.
