CHERY cars may not be as popular as those from Asian rivals like Toyota, Honda, Kia and Hyundai, but the Chinese carmaker is surely making strides in the right direction.

Since embarking on its global expansion in 2003, Chery Auto Group, based in Wuhu in Anhui province, has exported 500,000 vehicles to more than 80 countries and regions.
