BANGKOK POST: Local auto output slashed


The local automotive industry is beginning to feel the pinch from last month's Japanese earthquake and tsunami, with carmakers cutting production to fit their remaining stock of parts.

Toyota Motor Thailand (TMT), the country's largest carmaker, will cut production by 70% from Monday until June 4 following the suspension of overtime shifts since last month.
