BANGKOK POST: Automakers warn of slow delivery

Slowdown in Toyota car output up to 70% coming….

Major carmakers continue receiving orders from customers although they are facing production trouble caused by tight supply of electronic parts from Japan.

Car output in Thailand will drop by 50% on average until June as stocks of major parts of carmakers are going to run out soon.

The reduced output is expected to force some manufacturers to deny accepting orders or delay car deliveries until normal production resumes.Industry sources said Toyota Motor Thailand was still accepting orders even though its car output would be cut by 70% until early June.
